Description:

Creating a Family Story on the Computer –

It is project oriented with the hope that we will have a start to our digital legacy by the end of the 4 weeks. It will be impossible to tell all of our story in the 4 weeks but you will learn how to begin.

Memorabilia in all forms, photos, trophies, official papers, recipes, medals, voice recordings, old records – literally anything that can document your family’s story will be scanned, and digitally enhanced. After capturing the memories in digital audio and visual formats, the exploration begins for the best option for recording your history: making a hard bound book, making a digital slide show, capturing voices for stories, online storytelling “Our Story”, and digital scrap booking.  Techniques in scanning, audio recording, multi media production, publishing and online uploading to safe blogging sites will be demonstrated.

Presentation, demonstration and where applicable, hand-ons work on a PC. We will start a web blog called Our Story where we will upload photos and invite our friends and realtives to say something about our project.
