DSLR - Learn Your Camera (2½ hours): Deal of the Month

Prerequisites:

This is hands-on type class. For this class, it is recommended that the student have and bring a digital camera that has interchangeable lenses and is called a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex).

Description:

This is a beginner's class in learning how to work the features of the camera. f/stops, aperture, exposure, bracketing, manual focus and shutter speed. Because we will have a variety of cameras present, please bring your manual. There will be a special section on lighting and tripods.

  • What are the best settings available for low light?
  • Can I use a high ISO without noise?
  • Hands-on time
  • Resources and tutorials on DSLR
  • Must tell the instructor ahead of time the make and model of your camera.
