Digital Photo Basics II (Two 2½ hour seminars) -When the Camera Meets the Computer

Prerequisites:

This is hands-on type class. For this class, it is recommended that you own a digital camera or borrow one. Students bring the camera to this class. Your computer skills should be beyond basic in order for you to download your photos, make a file folder, and save. This is taught in the first class, Digital I. Click and drag, and basic Windows operating skills will be used.

Fee:

$40 for the series of Digital I and II.

Description:

This is a beginner's class, second in a series in learning how the computer organizes, sends emails and quick fix-ups for your photos. Photos on the computer will be edited using basic editing functions.

Goals:

  • Review the organization and where to find your photos after downloading from the computer
  • Resize and understand resolution so that you can send photos by email
  • Understand how to print a photo and or make a contact sheet for the photos on the disk you burned in the first class.
  • Begin basic editing, cropping, straightening, one step fix-ups
