Prerequisites:
Basic computer skills and a rudimentary understanding of the internet. This will not be a class using Family Tree Maker, rather it will cover the overall operation of several genealogical programs that run on the Windows operating system.
Description:
This seminar will cover three tools used by genealogists to help them with their research efforts. Even though the topics could be considered rather technical in nature, beginning students will find the all the sessions invaluable. Once you have gotten past the first step in you genealogical research (recording what you know and interviewing relatives) the topics discussed in this seminar will be the next step in your journey to knowing and understanding your ancestry.
