Know Your Digital Camera (2 sessions 2½ hours)

Prerequisites: No Digital -SLR cameras please.

Bring a digital camera, manual, and cords that came with your camera. If you wish to download your photos to a computer, you must have basic computer and mouse skills in order to make a file folder on your computer.

Description:

Learn the controls, functions and modes of your digital camera the easy way. If you want to learn how it "works" so you can take better photos this is the class for you. All brands and manufacturers of cameras are welcome. This is a basic beginners class in the workings of your camera . The class is hands-on using your camera.

This class is camera oriented. It is NOT a beginner's class on the basics of the computer.

Goals:
  • Learn what program, aperture, shutter and manual functions do.
  • Learn how to control the flash
  • Learn how to change scene settings and modes for taking better photos.
  • Learn the differences in photo file formats and which ones can be used.
  • Learn how to set up your camera with date, time and quality of photo.
