Pro Show Gold Photo Show (three 2-hour sessions)

Prerequisites:

You should have a basic knowledge of Windows, the keyboard, mouse usage, and some typing skills.

You do not need to own the software. These three seminars will focus on the newest version (V3.0) of Photodex's Pro Show Gold.

You must bring:

  • at least 30 photos to be used for the show. The photos can be on a disk or in your camera. There will not be time to scan hard copies of photos. If you need to scan hard copies prior to the class, please email: scan@seniornetaustin.org for an appointment to scan your photos. There will be an additional charge for this.
  • your favorite music CD, or plan on using our music selections
  • you need to bring additional disks if you want more than one DVD. Only one will be provided.

Description:

The purpose of these seminars is to create a multi-media show that looks professional, but is easy to do. The focus will be on the newest features in Pro Show Gold version 3.0,using layers and editing fades, and music. In the process, you will learn how to create a multi-media show including video, photographs, transitions, music, titles, and voice-overs. Pro Show Gold software is used in the training. This seminar will include combining video clips, photographs, and graphics with the addition of music, titles, and transitions to create an entertaining show to burn to a CD or DVD for viewing on a computer or TV entertainment center.

This is NOT a beginner's class in the basic use of the computer. You will need to know how to find folders, retrieve files from the folder, and copy/paste.

  • Focus on the newest features in Pro Show Gold version 3.0
  • Learn the basic concepts and procedures of using the video/photo editing program Pro Show Gold
  • Import photographs, graphics, and music into the show
  • Add zoom and pan effects to photos
  • Add music to the show
  • Obtain music from the Internet or a CD
  • Time the music to the show
  • Add titles to the show and edit them
  • Add transitions from one visual segment to the next
  • Get introduced to the basic editing of photographs
  • Understand the steps in creating a DVD
  • Get introduced to the process of burning the final show onto a DVD
