Prerequisites:
You should have a basic knowledge of Windows, the keyboard, mouse usage, and some typing skills. You should know how to find folders, retrieve files from a folder, and copy/paste.
You do not need to own the software that will be used in the seminar -- Photodex ProShow Gold, version 4.5.
This is NOT a beginner's class in the basic use of the computer.
You must bring:
- At least 30 photos to be used for the show. The photos can be on a flash drive or CD or DVD. If you do not have a set of favorite photos, we will be happy to provide photos so that you can learn the program.
- your favorite music CD, or plan on using our music selections
- additional disks if you want more than one DVD. Only one DVD will be provided.
Description:
The purpose of these seminars is to help you discover and apply the features of the ProShow Gold program so that you can create a multi-media show that looks professional, but is easy to do. The seminar focuses on getting you comfortable with the features in ProShow Gold version 4.5, including timelines, slide options, motion, captions, and much more. You will learn how to create a multi-media show that includes video, photographs, transitions, music, titles, and voice-overs. This seminar includes combining video clips, photographs, and graphics with the addition of music, titles, and transitions to create an entertaining show that you can burn to a CD or DVD for viewing on a computer or a television.
Goals:
- Make a show in ProShow Gold version 4.5.
- Learn the basic concepts and procedures of using the ProShow Gold video/photo editing program.
- Import photographs, graphics, and music into the show.
- Add zoom and pan effects to photos.
- Add music to the show.
- Obtain music from the Internet or a CD.
- Time the music to the show.
- Add titles to the show and edit them.
- Add transitions from one visual segment to the next.
- Understand the steps in creating a DVD.
- Get introduced to the process of burning the final show onto a DVD.
