Recording, Editing, Posting - Our Stories (one 2 1/2-hour session)
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of Windows, the keyboard, the mouse, and basic typing skills.This seminar is intended for advanced beginners as well as experienced PC users who may need help and direction in dealing with learning how to record and edit audio. Students will be required to bring old photos and a story idea that are scanned on a CD, DVD or a flash drive.

Recording a Story, Editing with Audio Software and Posting on the Web – It is a project oriented seminar with emphasis on collecting our voice for posterity through converting tapes, or recording. Learn to edit, insert silence, fade in, fade out, save snippets and control the volume. We will use Goldwave audio software.
Each student will be given audio files to practice audio edits. After capturing the memories in digital audio and visual formats, the exploration begins for the best option for recording your history: capturing voices for stories, online storytelling “Our Story”, Techniques in audio recording, and online uploading to safe blogging sites will be demonstrated.
Presentation, demonstration and where applicable, hand-ons work on a PC.
We will start a web blog called Our Story where we will upload photos and invite our friends and realtives to say something about our project.
