This seminar is intended both for those who are not now using e-mail and those who may be using e-mail, but would like to learn more about how to use e-mail more efficiently. If you now have an e-mail account, be sure to bring your e-mail address with you.

Goals: Expanding your E-Mail experience with Windows Live Mail in Windows 7
Session 1: Introduction to Windows Live Mail
- Learn how to obtain and install Windows Live Mail in Windows 7
- Create account(s)
- Over view of Menu and Tool bars and the functions included
- Learn how to create a new text only E-mail
- Formatting text only E-mail
- Sending and retrieving E-mail
Session 2: Working with Windows Live Mail
- Answering and Forwarding E-Mail
- Learn good e-mail etiquette, including:
- Forwarding mail -- deleting extraneous material
- The differences between "replying to" and "replying to all"
- Downsizing photos for e-mail
- Learn how to minimize getting spammed.
- Discuss the advantages of a computer-based e-mail program.
- Learn the answer to: "Can I have my Web-based mail downloaded to Windows Mail?"
- Use of "cc" and "bcc."
- Handle attachments.
- Manage the contact list.
- Create Categories
- Manage messages -- sorting and filtering into folders.
