Prerequisites:
This seminar is for students who want to learn some of the functions and features of the iPhone®. This class is lecture-oriented and the student should have an iPhone® to use in class.
Description:
Learn how to configure and effectively and efficiently use the key functions and features of your iPhone® and be able to backup and choose which data to synchronize between the iPhone® and PC. Learn about some of the more popular apps, both free and fee, and how to download, install, update, organize and delete them
Goals: (May vary based on students’ questions and requests)
Session 1 - Learn:
- Add and search Contacts and then synchronize them with Outlook
- Add Calendar single events or repeating events and synchronize them with Outlook
- How to import music and/or photos from your computer to your iPhone®
- How to export music and/or photos from your iPhone® to your computer
- How to change the basic settings of an iPhone®
- How to setup eMail accounts or use existing eMail accounts on the iPhone®
- Discuss a very few of the more than 300,000 applications that are available for the iPhone®
- How to find the most popular free and fee applications, download them, and install them.
Session 2 - Learn:
- More configuration and security settings on the iPhone®
- Learn how to take photos, send them in eMails, and link them to contacts
- Discuss some of the more popular applications for ..
- Taking Photos and Videos
- Music
- Traveling
- Social Networking
- Searching Contacts
- Searching the Internet
- … and any other areas where students might have an interest
- Learn how to configure iTunes to sync your iPhone® and computer (Usually with Outlook)
Bring your questions and time permitting, as many as possible will be answered. Topics may be covered in a different order, depending on student requirements.
Note: Since there are several versions of the iPhone® out now, not all features and functions will be available on all iPhones. Instructor will have an iPhone 3G and 4S to use.
